Two upsets in Settlers of Catan play-offs

by GamesMaster 1/31/2008 11:48:00 PM

After several months of suffering at the hands of the Cynamon brothers, Helen - the self-identified "unwinner" - successfully won two back-to-back games of Settlers of Catan.  Playing the standard set with 5-6 player expansion, Helen out-traded, out-developed and out-played 5 other players to be crowned Wednesday evening's master of Settlers.  How long will she hold the title?  Considering I expect at least one follow-up game next week, I suspect that her reign will not last long.

Upcoming GameTime events scheduled for this week

by GamesMaster 1/28/2008 11:09:00 PM

Howdy gamers,

We've got two great game events scheduled this week.  On Wednesday, we've got the recurring Settlers of Catan night, from 7:30-10:30pm, and on Saturday, we're putting together a Scrabble afternoon from 2-5pm.  We'll be introducing an exciting variation on the traditional Scrabble rules, open for the adventurous to play.  Rest assured that we'll still have standard games going... for the conservatives.  For more information about these events, visit http://www.gametime24x7.com/social.aspx.

Always have fun,
Jacob

Had a blast on our Monopoly Night!

by GamesMaster 1/28/2008 3:57:00 PM
Great turnout for Monopoly.  We had 12 people participating in the Monopoly night, some for a pre-event brainstorming session on new activities and the difference for a cut-throat game of Monopoly.  Jim was in the lead for a long time after repeatedly grabbing the cash from Free Parking, but Nate ended up pulling ahead toward the end, cashing in with his fully developed Reds and Light Purples.
